Family Friendly Short, relatively flat, and very scenic, this trail is also a great place to see bison and wild horses.

Description

There are signs for this trail on the Scenic Loop Drive, and this trail has a dedicated parking area. This is a beautiful overlook in a higher elevation part of the park that looks down on the rugged terrain of intermittent waterways that contribute to the Little Missouri River to the west. This trail is a good spot to bring binoculars too, so you can scan the area for herds of bison and wild horses.

Flora & Fauna

Bison, wildhorses, native grasses, and flowers.
