Family Friendly Awesome pond with turtles and nice open areas for kids to run.

Description

From the trailhead, you'll have no problems following the wide path. Though the trail intersects a busy road, there is a nice underpass leading under Eldorado Parkway. From the underpass, hikers will then continue on through a nice wooded area next to a creek. At the end of the creek, the trail will then loop around the pond. Watch for turtles around the pond, as many inhabit the small body of water.

Those with little ones won't want to miss the playground at the end of the trail!

Flora & Fauna

You will see a wide variety of birds, lots of rabbits and the occasional snake (rat snakes, tree snakes, and copper heads) turtles and fish in the the pond are plentiful.
