Description

Using the route of an old dirt access road, this trail heads south from the Blackrock Parking Area. Running parallel to Skyline Drive, the trail swings upward to a junction with the white-blazed AT. Continue in the same direction, staying with the dirt road as the AT heads off to the right toward the Blackrock talus slope.

The trail will cross the AT as it begins to descend with the Trayfoot Mountain Trail heading off to the right. From here, it's another three-tenths of a mile down to the junction with the AT and the Blackrock Hut Trail.
