Description

The trail starts off of the Hazel Mtn Trail heading down to the northwest for a quarter mile. As it begins to bend back to the north, the trail gradually and then more abruptly climbs along the north side of Catlett Mountain, which rises to nearly 3,000'.

There are a number of signs of former inhabitants in this area, but they have become very hard to spot as the area has become so overgrown that it is hard to see more than a few yards off the trail.

After a little more than a half mile, you reach the high point of this trail at around 2,750'. The trail then heads slowly downward, with one final climb for the last few hundred yards past the Catlett Spur Trail to its junction with the Hannah Run Trail.
