Features -none-

Family Friendly Nice interpretive signage for cool old mining devices make this an educational and interesting stop for the whole family.

No mountain biking.

Description

The Iowa Hill Trail is a pleasant stroll through an 1800's placer mine site with many interpretive signs along the way. A number of short side trails take you to interesting preserved mining machinery and the old boarding house.

This is a nice shorter route for families or anyone visiting the area to see what mining looked like a hundred years ago.

Flora & Fauna

Not much. As an old hydraulic placer mine, it's rough rocky terrain with some new tree growth but not much underbrush.
