Description

Hop on the Colima Trail for quick access to and from the Laguna Meadow Trail and the Boot Canyon Trail.

Starting from the Laguna Meadow Trail, the trail ascends moderately through shady hardwood forests to a saddle before descending moderately on mixed terrain. Along the route, visitors can stay in one of three sanctioned backcountry campsites, entitled CO-3, CO-2, and CO-1. Before doing so, however, one must acquire a backcountry use permit from the Chisos Basin Visitor Center for the specific site desired.

Flora & Fauna

Mixed oak and maple varieties are abundant along the trail.
