Description

This trail, located near the North Mountain Overlook, is a great way to stretch your legs or extend your route when visiting Goat Rock.

Beginning just north of the parking area near the Goat Rock trailhead, this trail branches to the west. Along the way, visitors will experience a gentle descent as the trail winds through first open, and then gradually more dense forest.

About halfway through the trail, the Lower Dogwood Trail continues southwest, but this trail will loop back in the direction of the trailhead. There will be a slight, though hardly noticeable incline on the way back to the road. The trail ends at an intersection with N. Mountain Drive, where a variety of other trails are available.
