Description

Across from the Rising Sun Motor Inn lies a nice picnic area. This is where a short, level trail takes off.

This trail meanders through cottonwoods with plenty of access to the rocky shore with smooth stones. Tall, rocky summits line the lake on the opposite shore creating a dramatic landscape. After less than a mile of level traveling, the trail ends up at the parking lot for the boat dock where you can turn around and head back the way that you came.
