Description

Starting from the northern tip of the Tarn (the marshy pond between Dorr and Champlain Mountains), the Jesup Path follows a broad gravel trail that curves up a small rise. The trail then drops into a small bowl as it passes the Abbe Museum, Sieur de Monts Spring, and the Wild Gardens of Acadia. Just past the Wild Gardens of Acadia, the Jesup Path continues along an elevated wooden boardwalk, which protects the fragile wetland below. Wooden benches are located at several points along the way. The long boardwalk is surrounded by deciduous trees, which are eerie in the spring, lush in the summer, and colorful in the fall.

When the boardwalk ends the Jesup Path continues along a broad trail. It passes a meadow, heads up a slight rise, and then ends at the Park Loop Road. Directly across the road is the Great Meadow Loop.
