Trail shared by Phil DiGirolamo

Just above the valley floor, look into the heart and branches of these old growth coastal redwoods.

Features Views

Family Friendly For families with toddlers the grade is gradual enough to loop with the Redwood Creek Trail to complete a loop through the park. Plenty of room to explore and investigate the forest.

Description

Most hikers utilize this trail to complete the shorter loop through the Muir Woods National Monument. This direction is a gradual climb and connects with the Redwood Creek Trail at the end of the valley. Expect a good amount of traffic going in both directions. The trail is well-maintained and easy to hike along.

Flora & Fauna

Old growth coastal redwoods are the featured attraction of the park.
