Description

Starting at Sandy Creek Nature Center( Sandy Creek Nature Center Loop ), head east on the trails and there will be a posted sign with a trail map signifying the start of Cook's Trail. This trail then heads under highway 441 and the next 2 miles or so are on a boardwalk through dense woods.

Following Sandy Creek, it winds through the woods on mostly flat ground. This trail is not very technical, although it can get muddy after a heavy rain.

This trail sees almost no traffic and is maintained fairly well throughout the year.

The very end (or beginning, depending on where you start) of this trail crosses a power line strip, where the trail really opens up for a good view, especially facing west.
