Description

Start from the Mt. Pickett road and follow a small, rugged trail to east as it descends. After less than a mile, the trail will turn abruptly left and begin climbing. The trail will then become steeper and steeper as you wind your way up to 1100 feet where it will turn to the left again. At this point the switchbacks start as you work your way to the top of Mt. Pickett and connect with Mt. Pickett road.
