  • A Discover Pass is required at the trailhead, and the park is equipped with an automated pay station.
  • This trail is also open to mountain bikes from Sept. 15 to May 15. During those dates, be alert for riders descending at speed.

Description

Start from the Twin Lakes Trail and immediately begin climbing. There are many switchbacks from the start but the trail itself isn't too technical. Towards the top the trail will begin to straighten out but will still be climbing. Eventually, you'll come to a paved loop and parking lot. Continue on the road to the right of the wooded section and up the paved road to the overlook and tower. From here you'll have great views of the mainland, Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainier on a clear day.

Steep. Be prepared to have to stop to catch your breath if you aren't used to the constant climb. Beautiful view at the top if you catch it right.
