Description

This trail can be completed in any number of combinations as an out and back or a bigger loop. You can climb Big Casino and Sunny Gulch and then descend to Little Casino or you can climb Boundary Creek and then descend Sunny Gulch to Little Casino.

The trail is a very moderate grade the entire way, so it makes for a nice long downhill. There has been a lot of work done recently to reduce stream crossings so your feet will stay drier. At the top of the trail you'll go through a number of meadows and this is where you need to be very careful with watching which way the trail goes since people constantly make wrong turns and then lead others astray.

If you end up in some tall grass, you might want to backtrack to make sure you did not miss a turn. The trail skirts a number of meadows, so you get some great views and may spot some wildlife. About halfway down, you'll enter into thicker timber and leave a lot of the meadows. Eventually, the trail will follow the creek the rest of the way down. The trail is very smooth in sections with some quick ups.
