Overview

The trails of Campbell Mesa make for outstanding running or easy walking. The terrain is mellow, and the forest and monsoon flowers are lovely.

Description

The trails in this area are mostly buff singletrack through the ponderosa pine. While there are no major must-see attractions, this is a great hiking route that can easily be shortened by cutting off one or more of the overlapping loops. Enjoy the rolling mellow hills, open pine forest, summer wildflowers and occasional elk on this route.

Follow the Campbell Mesa Loop Trail to the Walnut Meadows Loop and finish off with an optional trip around the Continental Loop.
