Description

Use this trail in either direction, both are great!

Starting from the southern end, you'll descend a couple steps. Continue down a nice, smooth trail to a bench that's a little lower than the one you began on. The trail is very easy for the next couple of miles. Look forward to many wonderful desert features including: slot canyons, big sandstone walls, and some shelf rock that allows you to rise above major dropoffs to the canyon floor below.

The third and most narrow, slot canyon has a short section with broken rockfall that you'll have to climb over. After that, it's smooth going almost all the way back up to Mary's Loop with one final steep uphill stretch.

A highlight in this area!
