Pets are allowed only on the Pacific Crest Trail portion of the loop outside of the park, and they must be leashed. Treat water before drinking.

Description

This easy trail is one of the most popular in the park. It starts out along the Pacific Crest Trail at Chinook Pass and leads south, traversing the east side of Naches Peak 1.6 miles until intersecting the Eastside Trail on the western side of Naches.

Work your way through open meadows teeming with wildflowers with Mount Rainier posing as the perfect backdrop; this has to be one of the best mountain views in the park. Don't expect to be alone on this route however, as this essentially flat trail is a park highlight due to its aforementioned attributes. Enjoy!

Absolutely gorgeous hike. Tons of wild flowers and amazing view of the mountain. Only gets tough on the stairs. Few rocky spots. 10/10 for sure
