The Lawrence
Creek Trail travels at a pretty consistent grade with only a couple brief, steep sections. The trail feels a bit steeper than the fairly stable
Methuselah Trail's grade. This part of the preserve receives less traffic and relaxes users with the rise and fall with the contours of the land. There is a section of abandoned logging road on the Lawrence
Creek Trail, but it is gradually narrowing back to singletrack as the forest takes on a mature, natural look making the trail quite pleasant.
The Lawrence
Creek Trail is often combined with the
Virginia Mill Trail to traverse the southern end of the preserve. Note: bikes are allowed on this trail.
