Description

Starting from the junction with Inverness Ridge, Drakes View trail descends gently at first through dense forest. A series of wide switchbacks drop you down to a lower ridgeline which you'll follow for the remainder of the trip. The tree cover is broken only by a few open, grassy meadows towards the bottom. There really is no view of Drakes Bay from this trail, despite the trail name (for better views, try Bucklin). Descend off the spine a bit more steeply, then cross a couple of wooden arched bridges before ending the trail at its junction with the Bayview Trail. Note: bikes are not allowed on this trail.

Flora & Fauna

Rabbits, deer.
