Granite boulders can be seen throughout the forest in the midst of the burned trees.
Daisies bloom in the sunlight opened up by trees being damaged in the fire. Late spring (late June, early July) is a great time to see wildflowers along this trail.
Downed trees are a routine obstacle on this trail, so you may need to slide over, duck under, or walk around some of the larger trees.
Dead and burned trees line the trail for its entirety. As it approaches the trail junction, the trees start to thin and you get a little better view of area around you.
The trail descends through a forest of polished granite and burned dead trees as it approaches Yosemite Creek.
