Daisies bloom in the sunlight opened up by trees being damaged in the fire. Late spring (late June, early July) is a great time to see wildflowers along this trail.
Granite boulders can be seen throughout the forest in the midst of the burned trees.
A small creek flows alongside the trail for much of its path. The peaceful sound can be heard as you meander through the forest.
Dead and burned trees line the trail for its entirety. As it approaches the trail junction, the trees start to thin and you get a little better view of area around you.
