Trail runs through lava boulders near the mesa top
Looking west toward Ivins, ghostly clouds
A better example of what much of the trail is like. No fast going since the rocks are hiding to trip you up. Neat views to the southeast though.
Broken Mesa Loop Trail initially climbs toward the Broken Mesa Rim.
View from atop the first and only climb - about a mile from the Mesa Rim Trailhead. This is as high as it gets!
Icehouse Trail starts at the south end at this junction with the Middleton Powerline Road
