Mt. Hood from Trillium Lake

Description
The Trillium Lake dam provides the best view of Mt. Hood in the area. It is also the best location for fishing at Trillium Lake which is stocked. Stretch your legs and hike the loop trail around the lake while admiring the views of Mt. Hood.
On the Road: Visitors can park in the area south of the dam or in the Trillium Lake Day Use Area. The hike around the lake is described in Trillium Lake Loop Trail #761.
Family Friendly: This is a great location for children of all ages.

Dry, Some Mud, Fallen Trees - Significant blow down of trees in the burn areas west of Cloud Cap - climbing over/under a tree every 10-15 steps for 8 miles. Elliot River is sporty getting down but otherwise the trail is decent. we did it in 3 days / 2 nights.
