Description
Past the beautiful Castle Lake and beyond the northern side of the humbler Heart Lake, one finds a rather remote cliffside path up to one of the most beautiful vistas overlooking the northeast and the remarkable Mt. Shasta. The hike itself, starting from the Castle Lake trailhead, is about 3.5 miles to the lookout and back.
