Description

This is an incredibly big sand cave with a seasonal waterfall during wet weather. Hikers will be impressed by the sheer size of the cave as well as the stunning rock walls towering overhead. The floor of the cave is a deep sand which makes hiking around inside the cave a bit challenging.

Half-Day Hike: Park at Ewing Civic Park and take the Ewing Trail 3.5 miles to the spur to Sand Cave.

Fantastic day hike. Unseasonable warm January weather and recent rainfall made the waterfalls and hike enjoyable. but hard to enjoy outlooks from fog.
