Description
Visit the gravesite of a very early resident of Shaw Valley. Anton Knechtel (1823-1903) was an early farmer on the land now owned by Katz. The Knechtel family was involved in the agricultural development within Carmel Valley, McGonigle Canyon, and Shaw Valley. The gravesite was Anton Knechtel's favored location from which to view his property.
On the Road: A short, easy outing will get you to the gravesite. Parking is located off of Carmel County Road.
