Description
This tiny two-story house served as General Washington's living and working space for the 6 winter months that the Continental Army camped at Valley Forge. This popular and newly renovated site has exhibits explaining the army's resilience and Washington's leadership during this time. When open, visitors can go indoors to see recreations of the rooms where war planning occurred. The nearby Valley Forge Train Station is where more exhibits and ranger-led tours begin.
On the Road: A few steps from the parking lot.
Family Friendly: Good access, nearby bathrooms, inviting lawns and easy bail out options make this a low overhead stop. High historical significance makes this a good place to impart some learning to the little ones.
