Description

The Hole In the Wall Beach is one of four beaches located near LaPush, and is also one of the most popular. Featuring an incredible geologic structure, Hole in the Wall is well worth the effot and planning that it takes to reach the feature.

The actual Hole in the Wall feature is just what it sounds like, as there is an incredible hole worn into a sheer beach-side cliff. The feature is scenic, and fun to explore for the whole family! If you're planning on making your way out to the cliffs, you'll need to do a bit of planning. While you'll be able to explore the surrounding area at low and high tide, the Hole in the Wall is best visited at low tide so that you'll be able to get up close to the rock.

While you're visiting, take some time to enjoy other activities, such as tide-pooling. If you plan your visit accordingly, you'll be able to enjoy not only Hole in the Wall, but a sunset on the beach as well. Far-off sea stacks provide a dramatic landscape to view a sunset, and this area should be a must on every Olympic visitors to-do list.

Short Hike: The beach can be accessed by the Hole-in-the-Wall Trail and is approximately 3.5 miles from the trailhead and parking lot.

Family Friendly: The trail along the beach is easy and mostly flat, and kids will enjoy exploring the rock formations and tide pools along the coast.

Beautiful beach. Go at low tide! We almost caught lowest tide, and saw some cool sea creatures

Really cool and eerie. Went at 1:15pm during low tide. Clams and star fish were in the tide pools by the hole in a wall rock.
