Devil's Marbleyard [Suggest Edits]
Description
A field of huge boulders created by glacier movements. Unforgettable sizes of boulders with views of the valley below. Go into the boulder field and explore -- extensive scrambling is required to explore the boulders. Bring a lunch with you and picnic under the shade of a boulder canopy. The field is a unique geological gem in a National Forest in Virginia.
Short Hike: Park at the Devil's Marbleyard trailhead and hike up the Belfast Trail. The trail is pretty rocky and not well-marked, but it is well-kept. Watch your footing. You'll be scrambling once you get to Devil's Marbleyard if you choose to go out on the rocks.
