Yavapai Museum of Geology, Grand Canyon, Arizona

Be treated to useful explanations about how the canyon was formed via the deposition of rock layers, the uplift of the Colorado Plateau, and the carving of Grand Canyon. The bookstore within the museum is a great place to browse for gifts and there are also wonderful views from this spot.
