Description

This trail segment links Trail #481 to the River to River Trail along the west edge of the Lusk Creek Wilderness Area.

Along the trail you may notice evidence of a much different former land use. There is an old hay rake abandoned in the woods along the trail, along with an old well and evidence of building foundations and old roadways. There is a sign to direct visitors a few steps off the trail to the "Wishing Well".

The trail is receiving some attention to improve drainage and reduce erosion, but there are still areas where horse traffic has created soft/muddy spots in wet weather and led to deep erosion in other places.
