Description
The eastern side of the loop travels through woodland, and past the edge of Bulrush Pond. The
Phantom Prairie Trail heads east from here to make a longer loop if desired. Turning west and southwest, it heads through open prairie.
On the southwest side there is a nature play area. On the south side, a very short spur leads to a blind on Crabtree Lake with a telescope where waterfowl can be observed.
Just before the end of the trail are bird enclosures housing a Red-Tailed Hawk, Barred Owl, Great Horned Owl, and Turkey Vulture.
