Need to Know

This is grizzly and black bear territory. Always carry bear spray! Snow generally lingers on this trail until early-to-mid July. Best access is July-October.

Description

After climbing most of Glacier Creek Trail #690, take the trail to the left at the split. You'll continue to climb for about 2 additional miles before descending down a rocky trail to Lagoon Lake. The trail continues beyond this point to the outflow of Turquoise Lake, but keep in mind that it is not maintained in this section. The trail is exposed, which provides for incredible views of the adjacent Daughter-of-the-Sun Mountain and Lindy Peak, as well as Glacier Lake lying below with the distant Swan Range to the east.
