A lovely trail the skims the edges of the bluffs above the ocean.

Description

From the Beach Trail, take the first left that brings you immediately to the Red Butte, a rocky naked butte that makes a good viewpoint.

Continue through the chapparel above a ravine, and after half a mile you come to the turn-off for the Razor Point viewpoint to your right. Enjoy the view and continue along the main trail where you can see the colorful eroded ground along the way.

Pass the Yucca Point Trail on your right and the trail soon dead ends on the other side of the Beach Trail.

Flora & Fauna

Torrey Pines, yucca, cactus and lots of wild flowers.

Nice trail. Lots of hikers. Well maintained. Single file in some places. Did not see any wildlife possibly due to the number of hikers. Holiday WE. — 8h 00m
