Description

This short loop of the Glidewell Trail winds through dense hardwood forests out to a small 2000-year-old Native American mound around the 1.0 mile mark. After crossing the mound, the trail passes a small pond on the farthest point of the trail. The long loop branches to the right at the pond, while the short loop branches to the left.

Continuing on the short loop, the trail navigates some isolated cropland before reentering the forest. At a T in the trail, turn left to go back to the parking lot. The remainder of the trail is along a gravel road until the parking lot.
