Description

This magical trail takes you on a winding journey from Flandrau State Park to the grounds of the United States' second oldest Brewery, August Schell's. The trail winds along the Cottonwood River through state lands just outside of the New Ulm Country Club, which is private land, until it reaches the grounds of the brewery. It is a mostly wooded trail with a few open areas.

This trail incorporates a few other connectors and trails and will essentially allow you to customize your path to either take the most direct route to Schell's Brewery (if you choose to visit), to avoid a steep climb at about the halfway point, or to make your way to the Old Dam Site for a scenic lookout.
