Need to Know
Hedge clippers would be an asset. It would be a guaranteed ticket to Nirvana if you used them to reclaim this relic from the forest.
Description
Starting at Vicar Lake, traverse the west edge of the lake, following flagging tape and a mildly-worn trail. Throughout the early parts of the trail, the summit is in sight and makes for an obvious landmark to stay oriented.
The trail remains well marked by flagging tape and old aluminum reflectors; however, it is significantly overgrown by blueberry bushes, among other less tasty varieties of brush.
There is eventually a false summit marked with a cairn. If you made it this far, you may as well continue, though the going remains...bristly.
Immediately prior to the summit, there is a frayed rope as a hand-line up the steepest, but unexposed crux.
From the exposed summit, there are some worthy views to be had! The return journey is significantly faster by merit of traveling in the direction of the brush.
From the Vicar Peak, the trail continues on to Rector and Curate. Expect the bushwacking and minor route finding to continue throughout.
