Features Views

Family Friendly A well-maintained trail with insignificant altitude gain/loss.

Description

This easy hike is perfect for an outing with young children or for those not in the mood for a vigorous outing. The trail is well-maintained throughout, with slightly rockier portions along as you're closer to the edge of the escarpment.

The views along said portions are spectacular, with unobstructed vistas of the San Juan mountains and the Uncompahgre River valley to the south. As it winds its way through a residential development, private property markers, and houses may occasionally be seen.

Flora & Fauna

Deer and elk are not uncommon in this area, so keep an eye open.
