Description

The track starts at the junction of Clarence Valley Road and Pawson Road and steadily ascends up the slope of Mount Isobel. For the first half of the ascent, hikers alternate between open stretches with amazing views onto Hanmer Springs and forested sections. Abundant wildflowers along the track make this a very pleasant hike.

At 1.7 miles, the track turns north and becomes very exposed and steep as you make your way up the ridge line and further to Mount Isobel. The reward is stunning vistas in all directions once you reach the summit.
