Description

In 2005, the Upper Taum Sauk Reservoir broke, an event which sent 1.3 billion gallons of water down through the park. Everything in its path was washed from the hillside, leaving a barren 1.5-mile stretch of rock. This trail involves some uphill climbing on rocky tread, and slippery water crossings can be present. This trail connects into the Ozark Trail, eventually completing a loop by turning onto that trail. Once you're on the Ozark Trail, there will be one steep descent, followed by a bit more climbing to reach the end of the trail.
