Description

The trail starts as a singletrack right behind the cattle gate. Descend to the stream bed and cross the wash four times, then stay on the left of the wash and hike slightly up the slope. The trail parallels the creek on a higher level for 0.3 miles until it turns left. At 0.4 miles, the trail turns right onto a dirt road and returns back to the creek, which it parallels for another 0.3 miles. After that, the trail steeply goes up the slope until it reaches Redtail Hawk Trail. Once most of the trees are behind you, look back to enjoy a rewarding view of San Ramon and Mount Diablo.
