Description

The Taylor Lake Trail is an easy 0.5-mile hike to Taylor Lake, making Taylor Lake the most accessible lake in Russian Wilderness. The trail continues around the northeast side of the lake and offers a steep alternative route to reach the Pacific Crest Trail, which is especially useful as a work-around when the snowbank on the PCT northwest of Smith Lake has not yet melted and hikers need to get to the other side of the PCT.

Going down from the PCT isn't hard; going up is much harder.
