Description

Clear Creek National Recreation Trail (NRT) runs north-south through the heart of Siskiyou Wilderness. The trail extends for 22 miles from Youngs Valley Trailhead off Highway 199 in the north, to No Mans Trailhead east of Clear Creek on Highway 96. The trail is dirt and gravel singletrack and has an overall gradual descent over the course of the trail because the trail follows the creek toward the mouth on the Klamath River.

Clear Creek has cold pools for swimming on hot days, excellent berry picking, and beautiful forest to camp in. Wilderness Falls is a spectacular waterfall and swim hole set in granite and forest, located far from the outside world. Good camping can be found at Trout Camp, with access to trails leading to scenic lakes including Buck Lake, Devil's Punchbowl, and Raspberry Lake.
