Description

As the Ridge Trail ends, you'll find an information booth. Go to the right beyond the booth, and you soon have a choice to go left or right. Going left, you drop down through mostly new forest with some mature Loblolly pines. The closer you get to the river, the bigger the trees get. Once you are down by the boulder-strewn river, you follow it and pass several benches along the way. As long as the mosquitos aren't biting, it would be a great spot to sit for a while. Continue on uphill to where you eventually meet back at Ridge Trail.
