This trail was conceived and constructed by mountain bikers. It is popular with trail runners (both UNC and local High School Cross Country teams practice here) but the bikers fly through and blind curves can be dangerous. Please be on alert and give way.

Description

This trail can be a bit confusing because of all the crossings. As a general rule if you cross directly and look for the arrows you'll be fine. Off of the Maytag fire road look for the first right on the trail. The trail heads away and then quickly recrosses Maytag. From here the trail begins to drop through the mixed pine forest. Almost a mile in you'll cross the Duke Energy Corridor then continue on where you cross the Tripp Farm fire road. As you cross the Duke Energy Corridor again you begin to head up hill, eventually hanging on the hill above Seawell School Road. Cross Tripp Farm a final time and shortly you are back to where you began.
