Description

Providencia Trail starts at a sharp bend in Mine Hill Trail, 2.5 miles from the McAbee entrance to Quicksilver Park. It begins in a heavily wooded area. Soon the woods give way to lower brush. Views of Guadalupe Reservoir below, and the Santa Cruz Mountains can be seen to the right of the trail.

At the 0.4-mile mark of Providencia Trail, Enriquita Trail is passed on the right. Providencia Trail continues on, and begins to gradual climb through a mix of brush and grass, with more views of the Santa Cruz Mountains. A few hundred yards after going around a U-turn bend, Providencia Trail rejoins Mine Hill Trail about 3.2 miles from the McAbee entrance to Quicksilver Park.
