Description

When beginning from Manzanita Point Road, Poverty Flat Road drops about 1000 feet to meet with Coyote Creek. There are a few steep sections worthy of caution along this portion, but overall reasonable.

Once you cross the creek, you'll approach the camps at Poverty Flat. After the camps, the road breaks away from the creek and begins to climb to the left towards Jackass Peak. The road continues for a couple of miles and intersects with Jackass Trail and Mahoney Meadows Road before terminating on Blue Ridge Road.
