Description

Trailhead parking on both the south and north sides in Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. In the center canyon there is a large rock garden with climbs/boulder hopping. There are several rolling meadows with multiple small dry and wet creek crossings.

From south to north take the footpaths towards the canyon. Link up along the stream and parallel it to Charon's Garden, then have fun climbing through the small caves or jumping across the boulders. On the north side of Charon's Garden, you can continue along the trail to the parking lot.

There are a lot of side paths along the trail, which is unmarked, so keep your bearings as you hike and remember your route or use the Hiking Project mobile app to stay on track.
