Family Friendly Aptly named, this flat, easy trail crosses the park and connects to many of the other trails for a variety of options for a longer or shorter outing for the kids.

Description

The Kid's Trail generally runs east/west in Yreka's Greenhorn Park. The eastern end of the trail intersects with the Humbug Trail, while the western end of the trail intersects Miners Trail which splits it from Fool's Gold Trail. From east to west, the Kid's Trail is also intersected by Goat, Oak, Lynn Skinner, Pine, and Assay Way trails. Heading from west to east gives you a gentle descent, but the trail is fun in either direction as the slope is very gentle.

Kid's Trail is not very technical with some rocks and roots. The trail is mostly fast hardpack but can experience some mud in the wet months.

The trail is multi-use so be cautious and courteous to others on the trail.
