Need to Know
The trail can be difficult to following in the spring when there is still lots of snow on the ground. Recommend watching the GPS closely and/or bringing a topo map to follow. It is easy to end up climbing the wrong cliff face or heading down the wrong valley. Be careful out there and know where you are going!
Description
The trailhead is at the end of an 8 mile dirt road. The road is in good shape and can be handled by most cars with at least a few inches of clearance. I saw a Geo Metro up there when I was there last. There is a small parking lot. The trail starts out fairly gradual, but then gets much steeper as it begins climbing up the south side of Deseret Peak. The trail crosses over the peak and then descends on the north face of the mountain.
